FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR CABINETRY

Q: I have a 12’ x 22’ kitchen, how much will cabinets cost me?
A:
This very generalized question has been asked of each and every Kitchen Industry professional a multitude of times during our careers. The fact is that there is no easy and elementary answer to what seems like a simple question.

The interview process is a necessary “get acquainted” period that enables us to understand your desired goals for design, value, function and budget. There are literally dozens of questions and observations that an experienced kitchen planner will use to ascertain what a homeowner is seeking.

In general, there have been a couple of time-honored, basic paths to take in planning a kitchen or bath project. Approach #1 might consist of a homeowner listing out all of the features and attributes that are desired as part of their project. Then we do our design homework in an attempt to integrate as many of the requested features that are physically possible for the allotted space, while gathering all the related cost information.

Approach #2 may be to state a budget and allow us to work like tailors, whereby we would do research and planning of the appropriate products and features that best serve the budgetary boundaries.

We realize that most customers have the desire to achieve a balanced end result which in most cases, is defined by an efficiently planned kitchen or bath that has value, style and longevity. In other words, getting the biggest bang for the buck. There are no shortcuts to getting there. The process demands an appropriate amount of time and energy on the part of the homeowner and the designer to ensure a successful and pleasant experience.

LET US DESIGN YOUR DREAM KITCHEN
whether your tastes are defined by issues of:

  • practicality

  • affordability

  • convenience

  • timeliness

  • quality

  • or all of the above!

Most professional kitchen & bath designers feel that a more thorough and complete design job can be accomplished by making a jobsite visit. Aside from gathering more dimensional information than most homeowners think to provide “over the counter”, we can observe things about your home and lifestyle that are crucial to any professionally designed kitchen or bath.

We observe things such as traffic flow through the areas to be planned, family size, common place activities in your home, wear & tear issues of durability, style of furnishings, all so that we can provide suggestions that are not “sore thumb” for your household.

There is no charge for this initial site visit and in most cases, once we understand the scope of your project, we can give a reasonable idea of where your project is headed in terms of timeline and cost.
